It’s day 10, and it wouldn’t be a blogmas without a tag!
I googled a random Christmas tag and I thought it would be a fun thing to do: one, for you guys to get to know me a bit more and two, for us all to get into the festive spirit! I would love to see if you agree or disagree with me on any of these or if any bloggers want try out this tag too – tag me or let me know in the comments below!
Favourite Christmas film
Before this year, I would’ve said Love Actually 100%. But after seeing The Holiday for the first time this year (late to the party, I know), Love Actually has a strong contender! I can’t pick. I also can’t pass up on watching Home Alone or Die Hard (we all know Die Hard is a Christmas film).
Favourite place to spend Christmas
Definitely at home. My favourite Christmases were always spent at home with my family – it’s just cosy, full of happiness, food and relaxation.
Favourite Christmas song
Anything Bublé has my heart! It’s Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas will probably always be my all time favourite, but this year, I’m particularly loving Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Have a Holly Jolly Christmas and White Christmas. But to be honest, the whole album is pretty much a collection of all my favourite Christmas songs!
Do you open presents on Christmas Eve, Midnight or Christmas morning?
Christmas morning, just after breakfast for me. Feels wrong any other way!
Christmas trees: real or fake?
Both! I don’t have an issue with any – we have a really nice fake one that we used for the majority of my Christmases growing up, so I like fake trees, but you can’t beat the smell of a real tree! I recently heard of a service that collects the trees once Christmas is over and replants them after, so may consider that for next year!
Favourite Christmas treat/sweet/dessert?
Just one?? In my family, it’s quite common for us to have Pandoro in the house (an Italian Christmas ‘cake’), which I absolutely LOVE. I love eating chocolate around this time of year more than ever too. We normally have mince pies and Christmas puddings on the day too, which I like, but I wouldn’t say they’re my all-time favourite (however, we bought some mince pies a couple weeks ago and I devoured them).
Hot Chocolate or Eggnog?
Is this even a question? Hot chocolate, obviously.
Favourite or least favourite thing about the Christmas period?
My favourite has got to be seeing the Christmas spirit in action! Whether it’s all the Christmas lights and decorations going up (and seeing how extra people get), seeing people in a much happier mood, seeing more people giving to others, the traditions, the Christmas markets – it all makes me so happy!
Most memorable Christmas memory?
Honestly, there’s nothing specific that stands out other than just the feeling of happiness when we all eat together or when I watch my family open the presents they got and when I open mine. I love the feeling of just being cosy, watching whatever film is on TV that day, and all the food honestly! It’s just a nice family holiday, and a chance to forget about everything else that’s going on and focus on enjoying myself.
However, there is this one particular time where we were visiting family for Christmas, and we played loads of board games and bingo and it was just so fun and lighthearted with no care in the world. That was a really nice memory.

Not too long ago, I took a trip down to Kent to visit my friend and got to explore what Kent has to offer. I had been to certain places in Kent for a day, or even a couple of hours, so I have enjoyed some of Kent’s beauty before. This time however, I truly […]
South Kensington truly represents the finer side of London: the gorgeous cream-coloured town houses, the cultural landmarks, and the glorious green spaces dotted around the area. Not to mention, the locals and the architecture scream ‘affluent’. This is just some of the reasons why this area is a must visit for tourists, and even Londoners […]
